A Billing pub is set to undergo a six-figure refurbishment, creating 20 new jobs in the process.
The popular Greene King pub, the Quays on Crow Lane closed on Sunday 7 January for an extensive makeover, which will include the introduction of a mouth-watering carvery.
As part of the investment the venue has also been revamped throughout, including a completely refurbished bar area with the addition of a new, fully stocked back bar. The venue will also offer an extended drinks range with craft beers, national and local cask ales as well as an expanded range of gins and rums available, in addition to existing deals, such as a bottle of prosecco for just £9.99 from Friday to Sunday*.
The new carvery will be served fresh every day featuring a minimum of three delicious meats which are slow cooked for up to 14 hours, accompanied by a selection of eight seasonal vegetables and trimmings to choose from. Alongside the carvery a full menu will also be available, which is packed with pub classics, such as hand-battered cod and chips, British beef and ale pie, and 28-day aged steaks served fresh from the grill.
The new-look pub, which also features a Wacky Warehouse, will maintain its traditional features and comfortable, homely atmosphere.
Carl Bruce, general manager at the Quays, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be undergoing such a huge refurbishment. The Quays is a great destination so we can’t wait to relaunch on Sunday 26 January with an even better food offering for both our loyal and new guests alike.”
Carl added: “The heart of the Quays is the pub so we’re really excited to enhance our drinks collection too, especially with the locally brewed cask ales and extension to our back bar offering. We look forward to welcoming the people of Billing when we reopen later this month!”
