Travis Perkins customers in Daventry can show off their fitness and raise money for charity by taking part in a unique new challenge.
For one day only, on Tuesday 5th December, the builders merchant branch on Low March, will be the venue for The Travis Perkins Planking Challenge.
For a donation of just £1, customers will attempt to hold the horizontal Ďplankí position for as long as they can. The person at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the day will win a £50 voucher. All money raised will be donated to the Woodland Trust to assist with the protection of local nature reserves.
As a timber merchant for more than 200 years, Travis Perkins is committed to sourcing its timber responsibly and works with the Forest Stewardship Council and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification to make sure all timber sold in branch has full Chain of Custody certification.
Branch manager Andrew Hunt says: ďTravis Perkinsí reputation when it comes to timber is second to none, now we want to see if our customers are rock solid too."
ďIt will be lots of fun to see who wins, and even better that the Woodland Trust will be the biggest benefactor of the activity.Ē
