Heritage Walks
Northampton has a number of interesting heritage walks, visiting places of interest throughout Northampton.

All Saints' Church
A magnificent Grade 1 listed church which was re-built in 1680 after the Great Fire, fine plaster work ceilings by Edward Goudge, Sir Christopher Wren's Chief Plasterer and 'Inigo Jones' portico. The two organs were built by J S Walker & Sons c1980. All Saints has a glorious choral tradion which visitors are invited to enjoy.

Fishmarket Gallery
The Fishmarket Gallery is a arts project managed and run by the Northampton Arts Collective. The Fishmarket provides one of the largest gallery spaces and the historic building has been transformed for creative works.

The Fishmarket was built in the 1930's and is located near Northampton's market square.

The Northampton Arts Collective have refurbished the old indoor fish market into a creative space artists and exhibitions. The Fishmarket provides a cultural experience for everyone.

Market Square
Dating back to 1235 the Market Square has provided a focus for shoppers for centuries. Today, still at the heart of the town, it boasts 150 stalls selling a wide variety of goods, great value and a friendly welcome.

The Grosvenor Centre
The Grosvenor Centre has been Northampton's premier Shopping Centre for more than 25 years. With 60 stores and restaurants, it provides a wide selecion of attractive goods, to cater for the whole family, in a pleasant climate controlled environment. Open 7 days a week.

The Guildhall
A gem of Victorian architecture the Guildhall is Northampton's most prestigious building. Built in 1864 by the celebrated 19th century architect Edward Godwin, and later extended by Matthew Holding and Arnold Jeffrey. Tours may be booked at the Guildhall and will usually include a visit to the old prison cells, the Mayor's Parlour, the Great Hall, the Godwin Room and Council Chambers. There is also an opportunity to view items of Guildhall memorabilia. Most rooms are available for hire at very competitive rates.
